Randy Steinman
Sports Director / Sports Anchor
Randy Steinman is Sports Director of Southwestern Ontario's most-watched news team. His return to CTV in 1989 was a homecoming for the Cambridge-native. The Conestoga BRT graduate had been a radio announcer for the former CAP Communications in 1980 and '81.
Following three seasons with the Cambridge Hornets and Guelph Platers, Steinman spent a decade covering sports in Chatham, Windsor and southeast Michigan. For six years, he was NewsRadio's Network Sports Correspondent in Detroit.
During the 1990's, Randy hosted and produced more than 250 half-hour specials for CTV Sports. Since 1984, he has filed from countless national championships on both sides of the border. He mentors and consults Anchors and Reporters across the U.S.
Randy emcees events across Southwestern Ontario, is a former Honorary Chairperson of the Circle of Friends Golf Benefit, and is an annual presenter at the prestigious O'Brien Awards.
In 2007, he was inducted into the Preston High School Hall of Fame, joining fellow CTV Sportscaster Jeff Hutcheson.
